Indoor pool & sauna — all year round

Our wellness areas

The common thread of your “Aux Portes de la Baie” holiday: wellness facilities open all year round, even in winter, to enhance your stay in every season.

The pool

The indoor heated pool

Shared by the 5 gîtes, the pool is heated all year round and covered by a sliding dome, closed depending on the weather. It is open from 8am to 8pm, and lit in the evening. A pool for morning lengths as well as children’s games, whatever the season.

Winter, our finest season

A 28 °C pool while it freezes outside, a steaming sauna, Mont-Saint-Michel without the crowds: winter is the bay’s best-kept secret. Our wellness facilities run from January to December — that is precisely what they are made for.

The traditional sauna

On the pool terrace, a traditional electric sauna is included in your stay, upon booking a time slot. Bathrobes for hire at €8 per person per stay — remember to request them when booking.

Access and opening times. Pool open from 8am to 8pm, shared by the 5 gîtes. Children remain under parental supervision in all wellness areas.

The sauna, included in your stay

On the pool terrace, the sauna takes up to 6 people seated or 3 lying down. A changing room lets you get ready, a lounge with a table and armchairs is right next to it. Please bring your own towels. It closes at 8pm, like the pool.

The sauna is included in your stay, upon booking a time slot: ask us for yours, before or during your stay.

Bathrobes

For hire, sizes M and XL: €8 per person, for the whole stay. They are also for sale, at €50. Large family or group: just ask us.

Winter in the warm: heated pool at 28 °C, sauna, an empty bay

What you look for under “spa”, in its simple form

Let us be clear from the start: the estate has no spa. What people often mean by the word — warm water to slip into, dry heat that relaxes — takes two forms here: an indoor heated pool with water at 28 °C and a traditional sauna on its terrace. No treatments or massages, then: a pool, a cabin, and the quiet of a winter evening in the countryside.

See the 5 gîtes

A winter day: the bay in the morning, warm water in the evening

In winter the bay empties and Mont-Saint-Michel, 15 minutes away, can be visited without the summer crowds. A rhythm that works: the Mont or a guided walk across the bay in the morning, lunch at the gîte, the pool in the afternoon. It opens at 8am and closes at 8pm; the sauna also closes at 8pm, which leaves time for one last session before dinner.

Mont-Saint-Michel in winter

For two: which gîte for a winter stay

For a couple, Le Chalet, 25 m² for 2 people, is enough; Le J1, for up to 6 people, leaves room if you come as four. Every gîte gives access to the same pool and the same sauna. The sauna is included: book your time slot with our team, and it will be part of the end of every day.

A romantic stay

Booking in winter: length-of-stay discounts

The gîtes are open all year round and the length-of-stay discounts also apply in winter: −15% from 2 nights, −20% for 3 or 4 nights, up to −35% from 14 nights. A week in February leaves time to see the Mont, Saint-Malo 40 minutes away and Fougères 35 minutes away, and to end each day at the pool.

What is there to do nearby in winter, between swims?
