A weekend for two, out of season
The Mont to yourselves
From October to March, the Mont empties by late afternoon and the bay falls quiet again. Climb the ramparts for the sunset, then drive back to the gîte with no queue and no traffic. The equinox and winter spring tides add the sight of the sea surrounding the Mont.
Indoor pool and sauna, at the end of the day
The estate’s pool is heated all year round, sheltered under a dome closed depending on the weather, and open from 8am to 8pm. On its terrace, the traditional sauna is included, upon booking a time slot, with bathrobes for hire at €8 per person per stay. Out of season, the late afternoons there are quiet.
Le Chalet, a gîte designed for two
Le Chalet sleeps two on 25 m²: it is our most intimate gîte. Couples who want more room choose Le J1. Length-of-stay discounts apply from two nights.
Frequently asked questions about a romantic weekend
What can a couple do at Mont-Saint-Michel over a weekend?
Go up to the Mont late in the day for the sunset from the ramparts, walk across the bay the next morning with a certified guide, then end in Saint-Malo or Cancale. In the evening, the estate’s indoor pool and sauna take over.
What is the best season for a romantic weekend?
Autumn and winter: the Mont is almost empty, the light is low over the bay and the spring tides are there to see. It is also the cheapest time of year.
Are the pool and sauna open in winter?
Yes. The pool is heated all year round and open from 8am to 8pm; the traditional sauna is included upon booking a time slot, all year round too.
Which gîte should we choose for a stay for two?
Le Chalet, 25 m² for two people, is the most intimate. Le J1, larger, also welcomes couples who want more space.
How long does it take to reach Mont-Saint-Michel from the gîte?
About 15 minutes to the Mont’s car parks, then the free shuttle to the foot of the ramparts. You can go up for the sunset and be back at the gîte for dinner.
